RJ, as you all know, turned 9 last Tuesday. The week before his birthday, he asked if he can watch Toy Story 3 with his friend. So right after school, we went to SM Megamall. Watched it on 3D and I swear I will never, ever watch another movie in 3D again. Before the movie, we get to play Winema. Disappointed with it, not just me but the kids were disappointed too.

I didn't like the 3D and Winema, but I definitely loooove the movie.

I can't wait for Toy Story 4.

Remember the Typhoon Ondoy flooding last year? Yesterday, June 16, Singapore experienced the same thing.

Here'a an excerpt from GMA News:

A heavy downpour in Singapore Wednesday morning triggered flash floods that submerged major roads and thoroughfares – an unusual event for the island city-state which is "very rarely" hit by natural calamities.


The flooding did not result in human casualties or serious property damage, but caused traffic jams, according to Vice Consul Jed Martin Llona of the Philippine Embassy in Singapore.


Llona said the floods "inconvenienced" commuters, especially those plying the heavily affected Scotts Road and Orchard Road — a tourist destination teeming with retail stores and entertainment centers.


"The flooding happened during rush hour and we heard reports of major [traffic] jams," the vice consul told GMANews.TV in an interview. He, however, cited latest reports that the traffic situation has already "stabilized."


Llona said the heavy two-hour downpour lasted from 9 to 11 a.m. and left a number of roads submerged in floods.

My son is a very picky eater. I don't want him to eat unhealthy food, so I try to make him eat a healthy meal everyday. Let me ask you something. Do you love eating fish when you we're younger? Me, I don't remember anymore. But I am sure I would have gobbled a piece of cookie right away instead of eating fish.

I tricked my son in eating this fish dish though.

Ingredients:

fish fillet

egg (slightly beaten)

cornstarch

Directions:

1. Cut fish fillet into cubes.

2. Dash beaten egg with a pinch of salt and pepper.

3. Dip fish cubes in egg mixture. Don't soak.

4. Dip in cornstach.

5. Fry until golden brown.

Try using different flavoured dips, each time you cook this fish dish.

RJ was practically begging me today (and was trying to make tears fall from his eyes last night) not to go to his allergologist for his MMR shot.

I was almost ready to drag him out of the house but these articles changed my mind:

He had MMR vaccine years ago. I wanted to make his shots up-to-date and asked his pediatrician-allergologist for Hepa-A vaccine. The doctor said, "Let's make his MMR shots up-to-date first." I said ok. I called the next day to ask for the price, I almost fainted when her secretary said Php 3000.

I was asking for a discount but the secretary said, "The vaccine is for MMR-Chicken Pox already that is why it is a bit expensive." Before leaving today, I tried researching about the said vaccine. Got scared when I read the articles.
